Don't you guys think it's kinda weird that we haven't gotten anything yet? I mean people from the East Coast and some from California already got their decisions. Haven't heard from anyone from Michigan, Illiniois, Indiana, Minnesota, etc...yet. Any explanations?

Potential reason: They think we're all farmers and are not cosmopolitan enough.

No I don't think it's weird. Those other states are farther from Princeton, so naturally they'll take a little longer. Factor in processing, the fact that it may have to go through 4 or 5 post offices before it gets to your door, and the fact that Princeton may have sent out some packages on Friday, not Thursday (perhaps a remote possibility, but still), and I wouldn't worry about it unless it hasn't come by Wednesday. Then, and only then, will I be concerned....

i blame it on the fact that:
1) deferrals and rejections are sent differently than acceptances, so everyone is worried when it takes too long
2) the current acceptance rate is like 57%, which either means deferred applicants are too depressed to come on (likely) or that a slew of deferrals are in store and that they take longer in the mail

Eventer, you're right, except.....no one in the south, midwest, or far west (aside from several Californians--mostly deferred, too) has heard back yet either way, so until we have at least some representation from those areas, there is no need to worry (after all, the statistical probability of everyone on CC living in areas not in the northeast getting deferred/rejected is so incredibly low).

If there had been some Midwest acceptances already, I would be really worried. But there haven't been, so my bubble is intact for one more day. I agree with jon314.

I definitely live in the Midwest and I have not received my decision yet... And I haven't heard of anyone that has!! So it has no implications :)
