Do you actually read the passages given in the Science section or do you go straight to the questions? I'm trying to nail this section, since it's my only relatively low score and any tips to scoring high would be amazing.

straight to the questions

I got a 33 on Science in June (34 composite) but a 30 in October (33 composite). My advice, use common sense and at least a small background on science and you should do fine. Just work fast and don't dwell on a question :)

Exactly what Neal said. The science is stuff I remember learning in 7th grade, go straight to the questions. This section is a combination of applied math and common sense. I got a 31, 33 composite.

go straight to the questions. i got a 35 in april (34 composite) and a 36 in september (35 composite)

i agree, tho i only had a 33

I got a 34 in science and I read both but only the charts when I was low on time

I would read questions first and go back to the info if necessary. Those Student 1/2 passages are long and a bit time-consuming. Once you read the questions, you'll be able to spot the necessary info in the passages. (april 31 (32 comp), sept 36 (36 comp))
good luck!

I skimmed the passages to get a general idea of the experiment, results, etc, then went to the questions. I ended up almost running out of time, but still got the rare 36 S.
