For the application...

When inserting the grades from high school, should I put PE (Physical Education) in Other Courses though it is not an academic subject? And if so, should I count it as a part of the GPA? Thanks

Yes.

And your GPA is calculated on your transcript, which shows all classes taken from 9-12th grade. Thus, your PE class is factored in.

well for my transcript, it has a 9-12 cumulative w/pe and 9-12 accedemic w/o pe…so what should i use??

If I were in your position I would simply not list PE on your application and then use the “without PE” gpa. Assuming PE is an easy A for most students, in my mind leaving it off your application and reporting your gpa without PE shows that you’re not grasping at straws and trying to inflate your gpa with a bogus class (especially considering your gpa without PE will only be negligibly lower than your gpa with PE included).

Or it could just look like you’ve never taken a PE class (which is still a requirement for UW).

Go with either one really. I’ve never heard of a school making transcripts that don’t include a course you’ve taken, so all this is new to me.

Just put PE in. Even if it’s an easy A it’s still a class you’ve taken and gotten credit for. It’s just a PE class anyway, what are you so worried about? I definitely put it on my UW app.

Zack makes a good point which I overlooked-- since it is a UW requirement, it is probably better to list it and also report the gpa included the pe class. I forgot it was a requirement.
