<p>Hey guys, I am starting a new thread to hear about your opinions on why you have decided to apply to Duke. I suppose particularly from the ED applicants, what pinpointed your decision to apply and what aspects of Duke really make you say "I wanna go there more than any other college!"</p>

<p>it's right up there with the top ivys for academic quality but it's not as stifling; a much more fun place than -cough-Yale-cough- but that's just my opinion. They've also got a much tighter community than some of the others, like Columbia and Duke's got a great alumni association, really active and connected.</p>
<p>I can spout all this good stuff even though I finally decided not to apply to Duke. :( Good luck to those of you who are, though!</p>
