<p>i think you'd be hard pressed to answer that question though, beacuse there are extremely smart people at EVERY college. stop focusing on the name of the school and talk to students.</p>

<p>yeah, i got the impression USC was a bit too much into partying. I just visited the two last weekend for the Explore USC thing. UCLA seemed really laid back but academic. UCLA also seemed like they had more money invested in their dorms and other buildings.</p>
<p>Really? I visited USC and thought that everyone was very relaxed and cool...</p>
<p>I have friends that go to USC or UCLA, and they all say that in general, parties are Thursday-Saturday, and that sure, there are parties everyday in both schools, but it's easy to avoid them and go to the library.</p>
<p>Don't focus on school reputation while making your decisions. They often aren't true. Instead, focus on which school would be better for your major, or which school would be less demanding on your wallet.</p>
<p>UCLA is work hard, party hard for most people. but really, UCLA is one of those places where you can make what you want out of it. there are students here who just study all the time, and there are also students here who party almost all the time.</p>
