For those of you who go to frats on weekends...

(sorry for making the least academic thread)..but

how do you act with people that you meet at frats and then maybe they're in your class or something? to me, i love dancing but it's a little odd to be grinding (not with a classmate) and all that and then see someone in class who probably saw that part of you. maybe it's just me thinking too much though...

but do you say hi to them?? or like keep a friendship going or what? lol

Accept yourself for whom you are =D

If you live the way you want to live, then that’s that

Well, I saw my male manager at the dining hall dressed in a grass skirt and a coconut bra on Halloween drunk off his arse, declaring how good looking he was. Saw him the next day and I mostly just laughed at him and then got over it.

I see this guy I made out with one night everywhere. I felt awkward at first but now I just say hey and acknowledge him when I see him. My friend made out with her ta before that class met for the first time during syllabus week, and that class was super awkward for her afterwards. So as long as it isn’t something like that, no big deal.

lol im not quiet and antisocial usually but i try to not show the party side of me. i’m pretty humble about partying but i come out at night so im more confident and stuff lol

It’s important to acknowledge that people have multiple sides to them. You just got to know them a bit better. No reason to be awkward about it, especially in this day and age.

Meh, I see people I’ve hooked up with around campus before. Usually I just ignore them. I guess it could be a little awkward, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. I could see how that might be weird at a smaller school though or if you see those people a lot. I usually just consider it a random alcohol-fueled choice and I’m sure the other person sees it that way as well.

Why are you embarassed with your classmates seeing you in a casual setting? Remember those classmates are there too so:

If they are judgmental, then they are being hypocrites

If they aren’t judgmental, then they might feel more comfortable at the party seeing someone they know there

Now I’ve never been to a party, but I think any human being should life their live without fear of being judged, and obviously they will always be people that will judge you, but should you really care about those people? I don’t think so.

I like Caiac’s response:

Just say hi to them like friends. Don’t think of the way you act at parties as a separate side of you, just you in a different setting. Ehh I’ve sometimes made out with guys at parties and see them around…I say hi, but I don’t really bring it up lol. The only different case was when I hooked up with a guy I was friends with in the first place, who I think is way out of my league, and we’re still friends, though I think that might have changed our dynamics…

You’ll probably ignore them in the case where you never/forgot/didn’t call them.

But otherwise, it’s not really awkward.
