for those who got into stanford, you get the chance to meet...

michelle wie. lol.... you might even have a class with her.

What is the big deal?

she hasn't won a tournament in about 2 years

There are lots of people with claims to fame at Stanford... some gymnastics champions, Olympic swimmers, Nobel laureates, children of political figures... and they're nearly all super nice =]

wow, i m gonna feel so inferior around all these future celebrities....But hey, if they accepted me, ill definitely contribute smtg!!

LoL, I feel inferior in that I haven't accomplished what they have so far, but I feel that what I do later in life will be worthwhile =] And plus, I think it's awesome to be around people with diverse interests. Much more interesting than high school, when things were so bland, and there was so much of the world I hadn't experienced.

celestial605, i couldn't agree with you more. My high school is so bland and there are no interesting people. What sucks is that most of the kids in my AP classes don't even care about passing the AP exam!!! Public schools are true representations of the downfall of American education.

^that's a rather harsh statement to make.

Me: How is your fever?
Michelle: What fever?
Me: Oh, you just look hot to me.

i just read about about it in the papers today

Meh, could be that my highschool has jaded me to this kind of thing, but I'm no more excited to meet her than I am to meet the rest of you. While not all of us are know (inter)nationally, we all are interesting. That's why I'm excited to go to Stanford... Not the celebrities, but all the people it attracts...

I don't know her much, but she does go to my HS. I only know her from from what I hear from others. I guess that could have been a bad move on my part.

she'll drop out in two years just like tiger woods

she said in an interview that she'll "try" to graduate

My dad had an interesting thought: Was she offered a scholarship? My initial thought was DUH, she's an amazing athlete that the school would really want. But my dad pointed out that she's definitely rich enough to pay ;)

I wasn't sure whether I should apply to Stanford or not. Then I heard Michelle is going there. I applied in a heartbeat.

celestial... wie is a pro, meaning that she can't play on the golf team. she got in because of fame.

thought you guys might like to read this...............http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=hill/061221

Really? I wasn't aware that she can't play on the team. What exactly, I wonder, is the point then? She's coming just for education? I hadn't expected that, but good for her.

Hey I met the indian guy from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. He's a grad student at Stanford. It was at a promotional thing he did here for his new movie.
