How are you planning on paying for college? Do you have any instate choices?

Yeah I'll have a couple state schools but my #1 choice is Fordham and I plan to go there (hopefully). Anyways, in order to pay for college.. I plan to get as much financial aid as possible, work on scholarships, get a summer job, merits/grants, take a loan... whatever it takes I'll do what it takes. But anyways,,, can you chance?

You wont get scholarships with your gpa and SAT score. Sorry. Not from Fordham or any other highly selective college. Maybe a private scholarship, but that means you have to apply for them and write a bunch of essays. So get cracking. Financial aid is another matter and if you complete the FAFSA and send it to Fordham, they will likely give you loans and some grant money. But dont expect them to foot the bill for you. So you BETTER get a bunch of other safety schools in line and compare, because at the end of the day, it often comes down to what you can afford. Fordham is an awesome school, but its not cheap. Just trying to be realistic.

Chances? You are on the bubble by your raw scores. Being a minority asian may help. Apply early admission so you get a response in December and you have time to scramble if you dont get in.

I STRONGLY recommend you look seriously at JMU and Virginia Tech in Virginia.

Good luck.

dude no offense but I only asked for chances not how I'm gonna pay for this private school. First of all, I already do plan to apply to schools like JMU and VTech and other safety schools. I know my scores arent the greatest, and that's why I have safety schools. And btw, I only said Fordham was my #1 choice, not my only choice. So no offense, but I dont need someone telling me that stuff.

Fordham is one of my many choices and if I end up not being able to pay for it, I might just stay in-state. But I do plan to get the financial aid I already mentioned, I plan to work extensively during summer, and I already have some personal savings.

So please, let's try to stick to the point of chancing me, no offense to you at all... I'm sure youre just trying to help so dont take it the wrong way. Thanks

PS: I do plan to private scholarships and have started some already...My family and I are willing to spend alot for my education so in my case at least, it will not necessarily come down to what I can afford.
