Hi, I recently interviewed at Fordham for the directing track of their theater program. I believe the interview went well and I have good grades and SAT scores. I’m wondering if anyone has heard back from Fordham’s theater department in terms of admissions decisions. I know they said they would notify between February and April first (a broad window, I’m aware) and if anyone knows whether the application is considered in tandem with the interview or if most of the admissions process relies on one or the other. Thank you!
AH I also applied and interviewed at Fordham, the anxiety is killing me.
@mooselphant, my daughter has not heard either - also directing track. Good luck!
@pinkbulldog and @lostsenior thanks, and i hope you both hear something soon!
I have a question about priority performance. I originally applied for dance under priority performance but decided to change my major to international relations. Will I find out when priority performance decisions are released (since I applied by nov. 1) or will I have to wait until the end of march? Thanks!
@mimimo7890 how did you go about changing your major before you recieved a decision? Just curious because I might want to change mine also
@lilaba I went on the admissions portal and I clicked a link at the bottom to change my major and it was approved a few days later. You can only change it once though
Has anyone heard back yet?
@cominguproses I saw someone on Facebook that I don’t know get in last week
I just got an acceptance email!
Congrats!!! @cominguproses
Congrats @cominguproses and other newly admitted Fordham Theatre students!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted but my S (FCLC '14) was a Theatre Major with a double concentration in Performance and Playwriting. He will be performing in a show later this month that he wrote as a Fordham student and workshopped at Fordham. It was originally produced by one of Fordham’s alumni theatre companies when he was a Senior and they won two awards in a well known festival. The show has continued to evolve over the years and there are several Fordham alums involved in the current production in different capacities including set design. This just highlights the continued collaboration of Fordham Theatre well after hanging the diploma on the wall.
To those considering Fordham Theatre and coming to NYC he would be happy to meet with you to discuss the program and how Fordham set him up for his life after graduation. He is not and has never been an official ambassador for Fordham but he has met other students through CC before who were interested in his thoughts on the program. If you are interested please PM me, and if you have any general Fordham Theatre questions or life after Fordham Theatre questions for me, ask away!
Belated congratulations @cominguproses. My D and I were very impressed with their program.
