Fordham University Decisions Thread

Again, tinkering with the system doesnt do anyone any good. I know you are all anxious. Been there, done that. Relax. Fordham notifies everyone of their decision by April 1. Wait for the package and see what it is. Every applicant is considered for scholarships. If you are a NMF, then I think you are in good stead. If you submitted your CSS and FAFSA you will hear about financial aid as well.

All these back door attempts to find out sooner are not what I would call “official” results. I have no clue what they mean, truly. Just wait on the package and go from there.

Good luck to all of you.

Oh I know, and I get that it isn’t 100% accurate, which is why it’s such a tease, because what they have posted for me is a very good offer. I just want confirmation.

But:

“On behalf of Fordham University, we are pleased to offer you the following estimated awards for the 2010-2011 academic year. Once we have received your deposit and your package has been confirmed an “Accept Awards” tab will display. Please select this tab to accept your awards.”

Sounds pretty legit to me.

hey, ingette (and others):

I’m a NMF who applied early (the day after early action deadline because I suck), and I got a likely (it said ‘you are accepted but not officially’) letter and the director of admission emailed me to let me know that I got the full-tuition Semifinalist scholarship. I don’t have the award tab on my.fordham.edu, for what it’s worth.

So, I guess just hang in there? I knoooow it’s so the last thing I’d want to hear, but you aren’t out of the running for anything yet. Don’t stress if you can help it; I’m sure it will all work out magnificently!

Thanks txkate. I applied pretty late, so I am hoping and praying… I really like Fordham.

@mmouse: no likely letter for me. it’s soo hard not to anticipate, isn’t it?

@txkate: thanks so much for the reply! and big congrats on your acceptance/aid!

UPDATE: They took down the “Awards” tab on my Financial Aid, but I can still see everything from the “Disbursements” and “Lifetime Awards” tabs.

I just called Admissions. The girl seemed really surprised by the question and said she doesn’t think the two are related to one another (yea…OK). She told me my decision was coming by April 1.

Just a heads-up to everyone. I have a feeling Fordham made their decisions already and gave them to the Financial Aid office, and the FA office posted their stuff a little too early ;)

I hope not Fordham is one of my top choices.
I still haven’t heard back yet.
But I had some issues with my FAFSA.

Check my.fordham again because mine got updated today with all the financial aid information! I really really hope its legit because im very happy!

I think they’re beginning to post all FA now. But, like I said, my “Award” tab was taken down yesterday. I’m sure this is nothing to worry about, it’s just an observation.

how do you get a my.fordham accessIT ID

so do you think if you have financial aid listed, you are in?

I’d think so. Especially if you have an academic scholarship listed.

UPDATE: All my stuff is now off the website.

how are you checking ur FA

They took everything down, I guess they realized their slip up. I liked the sneak peek :)

If it contributes in any way - I was accepted EA and I do not have (and never had) my “awards” tab.

It feels good to do one of these
