Fordham University, English MA program— chances?

<p>I'm applying to a few English graduate programs currently and Fordham is one of them. I've heard Fordham's acceptance is a bit more than somewhere like NYU. The campus looks breathtaking and the program seems solid.</p>

<p>This is my info:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8
(3.9 in my English core courses)</p>

<p>GRE:
Verbal 159
Writing 5
Quant. 145</p>

<p>I have one internship as a writing tutor at a community college under my belt, and have a couple of other unrelated volunteer gigs. I have three solid letters of recommendation as well (two from professors, one from my employer at my internship).</p>

<p>Granted, I did awful on the math section on the GRE, but I did pretty well I think on the writing and verbal.</p>

<p>What do you think my chances of getting into a school like Fordham are?</p>

<p>I live right around the school and know a lot of people who have been accepted, your stats look a lot like their’s did. you should be good are you from NY area they tend to accept a lot of kids from there.</p>

<p>No, not from the NY area, I live on the west coast. Fordham is one of my dream schools and their acceptance rate seems practical enough (around 45%) that I could potentially get in. I’m applying there, University of Washington, and NYU, but I really would like to get into Fordham.</p>
