Fordham University Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

I would be shocked if you did not get it. I’d also expect a merit award. Please let me know how it worked out, so I can check the accuracy of my educated guesses. You will love it there. It is a great school. A happy, sane plans where students are typically happy and involved. The food stinks, but that the only negative and I hear that it is getting better! Let me know how it went.

Congratulations!! Did you happen to get ant merit money? Your stats were so great.

Are any girls going to LC looking for a roommate for on campus?

Hi! I was just accepted into Fordham Lincoln Center and I am coming in as a sophomore transfer. I haven’t thoroughly read all these comments, but does anyone know if there will be an orientation where we meet other transfers? Also I wanted to dorm and I have to put in a deposit. Will the deposit guarantee a dorm? Also (sorry for the many questions) do you get to pick dorm roommates? I would prefer dorming with freshman or other transfers.

@Rams1995 hi! i’m looking for a roommate, are you gonna apply for the mcmahon hall too or off-campus housing?

@alexfer me too! i just got accepted to lc too, but not sure whether its gonna be a sophomore or junior transfer. i don’t know if there’s gonna be an orientation for transfer only, but there’s an orientation for new students on august 30. and yes, the deposit would guarantee a dorm, but as i called the office they only said that they won’t guarantee you to have either single or shared room. what major are you in to?

Thank you for your responses! I think I will apply to McMahon Hall, just to get the experience and meet people. I’m not even sure how to go about doing that lol. I emailed them and they told me that I would be put with either another transfer or an upperclassman. I’m not sure if I’m considered a freshman or sophomore. I guess it depends how they evaluate my credits. I found out they are having two orientations before the 30th: one for all new comers on July 20th and another for transfers and commuters on August 14th. I RSVP’d for both lol Here’s the link!

@alexfer i’m majoring in communication, but I may choose film as well for my concertration lol. are those (july 20th & august 14th) mandatory?

Hi guys, I made a thread for those who had been accepted to Lincoln Center, hope to get to know you guys better before the school starts. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-colleges/1789657-fordham-lincoln-center-transfer-fall-2015-accepted.html see&talk to you soon!

No those aren’t mandatory, the one on the 30th is though ( that’s what someone told me when I asked).
Thanks for creating the thread btw

Hi! Not sure if you’ll see this but hey. I was also accepted as a communications major last semester but unfortunately had to withdraw from my admission for a family emergency, and have since re-applied and was admitted for the spring semester.
I was wondering how you were liking fordham so far! I’m technically in my second semester of my junior year and luckily all my credits transferred but it was mostly counted as electives, so now I have a ton of core requirements to do. I spoke with the advising dean earlier and was really stressed out with all of the core requirements and how it was so different from my old state school and I’m afraid its a bad idea if I go idk, so I guess I’m wondering how you are dealing with all that and if you are liking it at fordham. Thanks!!

@nyutransfer2015 I had to withdraw my admission as well due to financial difficulties… Basically Fordham didn’t give me enough financial aid so I would have had to take a huge burden with student loans… :frowning:

Hi everyone! I’m transferring this Fall and I am wondering if any of you lived in the off campus apartments! I would really love some info on them but I can’t find much at all.
