Is it a better choice to go to Fordham University or attend NYU in the liberal Arts Program (LSP) as undecided.

Would I be valued more at fordham?

I’m not sure what you mean by “valued” but it really depends on what you’re looking to get out of college. Maybe if you explained more it’d be possible to give you advice?

you will be valued more at Fordham. for sure. they really care abouttheir students. also LSP is a little looked down upon- Fordham is a fantastic school that will give you an education tailored to your needs. (I’m not bias I’m going to Boston but I attended the welcome days and Fordham is just more genuine.)

I’m assuming you got into both so I would suggest you attend accepted students programs at both schools if possible and see how you feel about the campuses (or lack of), students and programs of study. LSP is in no way CAS for dummies judging by the impressive stats of students put into the program but if you are going to walk around feeling like you have to justify your attendance at NYU for the two years of the program then you’ll probably be pretty miserable. Not that I really think other NYU students (non LSPers) will care one way or the other.

I personally think, as does my S who has applied to both Fordham (accepted LC) and Tisch (still waiting), that Fordham is a bit more focused on community and will probably be the more nurturing environment of the two. Sort of a kinder, gentler New Yorker, lol.

I would be curious to hear from people who may have transferred from one to the other and what their thoughts were. Good luck with your decision! :)

NYU LSP! such a good school, and you still graduate from NYU

bump

10char

One thing to keep in mind is that many.many LSP courses will not transfer. Fordham courses are classics. If you do well at Fordham, you have options. If you do well at LSP ? If you dont do well at LSP, even more scary.
