I have a 20,000 per year scholarship at fordham and I believe it is an ideal location for my intended major (mathematics/economics). Also, they are known to get great, high-paying jobs for their undergrads right out of college

Brandeis - i will play tennis and I got 5k a year. I am kinda worried that I wont fit in culturally though. I am also hesitant because I am not in the top 25% of the student body in SAT.

BC - I got no money from them. So I am having a hard time justifying them over Fordham. Plus, it's a little too big and sports-oriented.

Any comments or suggestions would be helpful. The time is almost up and I really am undecided.

Hmmm.... from your post it sounds like you want Fordham. You've posted all positives about Fordham ("ideal location" "$20,000 scholarship", "high-paying jobs").... and negatives about the others ("won't fit in" - "hesitant" "too big and sports-oriented")

I don't think you should worry about your SAT scores -- my daughter is in the bottom quarter of reported scores for her school and is doing fine, the truth is that your high school GPA is a much better indication as to how you will do in college than your SAT -- but Fordham is a great school and that's where the money is.

In both the objective and subjective comparison, Fordham lags the other two in virtually every category. However, should a career in NYC be the ultimate objective, then Fordham’s location may negate these statistical differences and provide a strategic advantage (not to mention the cost benefits that the OP notes). Brandeis and Boston College each have impressive objective profiles and compare very well with many schools ranked above them. They do not get the respect from academics that they probably deserve and this more than anything else dampens their overall ranking. Brandeis and Boston College compare very closely with equal Selectivity and nearly equal Alumni Giving rates. Yet while they share similar objective measurements, their Jewish and Catholic heritages likely attract different student bodies. IMO, all three of these schools are underrated generally and particularly on CC.

I am an International student, from Spain, and after studyied and worked so hard for taking the GRE and TOEFL tests, I´ve admitted into the M.A. in economics at Brandeis, Fordham and American U. I´ve been looking for the programs deeply and I tried to get as much information as possible to know which University could best fit for me.

I´ve almost taken the decision, which is Brandeis University, and I wonder if you guys, who are American, can help me to with my final decision. Even though I researched a lot and I have a vast amount of information about the Universities I´m interested in, this is not my country and, therefore, there is some information that I might be missing.

Could you guys tell me about the prestige of these Universities for the M.A in economics?? Moreover, if you consider to give me adittional advice, please feel free because it will be so helpful!!

I´ll greatly appreciate your help, I´m so excited to continue my studies in this incredible country, in which I feel like at home. ( I´m studying English in the city of my dreams; New York, and I can not be more happy to be here, so lucky!!)
