Foreign Language Requirement HELP!

Hi, I'm a junior in high school and I'm really confused about the foreign language requirements for schools like the UCs, NYU, USC, and UChicago.

For UCs, there's the A-G requirements, and it says that for foreign language, you are required to complete 2-3 years of another language other than English. However, I've only finished 1 year of Spanish I in middle school (straight A's) and then took Spanish II Online in freshman, both semesters, and sophomore year, second semester (C+, F, D-). Sadly, I found out that for UCs, you need a C or better to fulfill the requirement. So obviously I don't fit this requirement. However, I found on their website that if you pass a SAT II Foreign Language with a 500-600, it would fulfill the ENTIRE requirement.

Does that mean I don't have to take Spanish again??? And that the SAT II if I pass, will clear the two-year requirement? Or does that mean I still have to have two years, but if I take the SAT II, then I don't have to do a semester at the UC (from what I heard, if you only take two years, you have to finish another at the UC)?

This is seriously important to me because if I don't finish this requirement, then that means I can't apply to any UCs, right??? Someone PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE answer this for me.

Lastly, could anybody tell me if those foreign language requirements/SAT II scores would fulfill NYU, UChicago, USC, or Ivy League requirements??? I've been trying to find those, but there's not a lot of answers...!!!!

I'd be EXTREMELY GRATEFUL if you could inform me on this!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
