If I took a certain language in middle school, freshman year, and sophomore year will that satisfy my language requirements for BS/MD programs? Or will it put me at a disadvantage to others? Also I'm dropping it in order to take AP Statistics...

If u study in America, take Spanish

Well, IMO, dropping it to take AP Math sounds reasonable. However, some programs like to see interest in humanities. For example, Union/ AMC likes language a lot I think, since :
- They say the program emphasizes business, where you need language skills.
- Union offers like every language, including majors in Japanese and Chinese!
- As a LIM student (student in the Union/ AMC program), you have to double major in biochem and a humanities.

But, then again, every program is different. If you don’t like language, and you like math better, take AP Stat. I’m biased because I suck at math and love language. :P
