i want to become a forensic scientist but I have no clue what school would be good for such a major. does anyone know any schools?

bump bump bump

Be very, very careful. I know there are some legitimate programs up there but the fact is, forensic science is a branch of very intense and hard science. It's not law enforcement or TV stuff. Go into chemistry -- you'll be prepared for forensic science or other things elsewhere.

However, be careful of the slick "forensic science" programs hoping to draw people in when it's only a cheap vocational-type program. Like becoming a dental assistant or something -- really.

There was a radio commercial in my area touting a local business school's "Forensic accounting" program. I had to laugh --it's so sad really.

From what I hear, University of North Dakota has a program in forensic science. One of my friends wanted to be a forensic science major before totally switching to choir or drama or something of the like.
Make sure it's actually a science program, NOT a program for speech aka forensics.

Most forensic science degrees are masters level. I know Baylor University in Texas has an undergraduate forensic science degree. It is pretty structured starting in Freshman year and doesn't leave much time for anything else. Heavy science orientation and tough courses. There are a few other undergrad programs but a "true forensic science" undergrad is hard to find. Baylor had the program before tv made it trendy.
