Hi everyone! I didn’t think Cornell had the upload resume option until my friend who applied said she uploaded one. I checked Common App and apparently the website checked off the category and I didn’t even upload anything! I know it’s optional, but I now feel as if this puts me at a disadvantage compared to other applicants. Should I call admissions or something to see if I can send one in or should I just leave it?
You know what they say: the thicker the file, the thicker the applicant. If your resume really didn’t say anything other than what’s already on your activities list, you’re fine.
I didn’t upload one myself.
I didn’t upload one and I got in, you’re fine.
It had some activities that weren’t on the Common App, but oh well it’s already done
Why not send it to your regional rep and whatever email address is given for a general admissions email address? You have nothing to lose.
I’m concerned that that would draw attention to a sub-par resume and rub the admissions officers the wrong way… and also it might make them think that I was careless about the application and therefore not interested
like I feel like if I am going to take the extra step to send in something additional, it needs to be stellar

why were some activities that are on your resume NOT on the common app?
Because I had activities in addition to the ten slots on the Common App
