Cornell gives you the option to upload a resume. I am a little confused on what the point is since I have already listed 10 activities, 5 honors, and additional information on those in the Common App. Do I need to describe these in more detail or in another format? I have a few activities that I did not put on the Common App, but they seem somewhat insignificant considering I already listed the most important ones. I do have a few things I could write more in depth about, such as research experience and a service trip. Should I use the resume for that? What are other people submitting for this section? Thanks any advice will help!
It wouldn’t hurt to upload one if you can. Just make sure it’s short and sweet (1 page) and encapsulates the core of your activities.
You do not need to. So many resumes are either repeats of what was listed in ECs or a cramming of every teeny detail, no filtering.
I think the upload ability was added because there are a handful of places where GCs encourage every kid to send a resume. That neither makes it wise nor means Cornell needs to see activities listed twice.
If it’s am important EC, get it into the main section.
