Hi, so I recently applied as a transfer student to UNC at Chapel Hill as a sophomore transfer. I put three activities on my common app, all from college. I forgot to add that I’m also apart of the global medical brigades at my school and have been fundraising for a trip this summer to Honduras (for volunteering, shadowing doctors etc.) Should I email my school about it? And if so, who do I email and what exactly should I say?
You should find out who handles transfer apps and ideally email that specific person. I would also Cc the admissions office. As a subject header, put your name, transfer applicant, missing information.
I would probably say pretty much what you have said here. You inadvertently left out an activity that you are heavily involved in. Describe the activity briefly, as you did above. Ask them to add it to your application, and thank them for their time.
^^^^Excellent advice.
