Already starting to hate myself and we are not even three weeks into the semester. Somehow I misread the syllabus (or just ignored it and got distracted I don’t really know) and did not complete one of the two quizzes we were supposed to do. Now I will not be able to be exempt from taking the final exam and it is going to be a cumulative one. The professor made it clear a zero will be given, and no makeups will be given. I guess I was too focused on the first quiz and assignment because they were very time consuming that I did not think about the second chapter, especially since we had not gone over that chapter. I’m scared to email my professor and I don’t know what to ask her anyway. What should I do?! Ugh…
Honestly, I doubt there is much you can do since this was not cause by something out of your control. I would recommend getting a day planner and entering all of your deliverables so you won’t have this problem in the future.
In this case, I probably would not email the professor. However, you should never be afraid to email a professor if you have questions or need help or need to discuss issues that impact your ability to complete assignment such as an illness. Most professor want to help.

You should write down all of your assignment due dates, quiz dates, test dates etc. on a calendar. Being organized is important to success in college and beyond.

You should be sure not miss another assignment or quiz and study really hard for the final.
