So, yeah. I graduated on the 21st and it just now occurred to me that I did not send my final transcripts to my college. What do I do?

Send your final transcripts.

Your school should still have some hours they’re open over the summer. Call, or go to the school and check–if they’re not open, there should at least be a sign on the door with hours. Then go when they’re open and get your transcript request in asap.

I thought the counselors do that?

But yeah, just send it again, usually the due date is mid june for transcripts.

The answer seems pretty obvious.
Send the transcripts.

The freshmans, sophomores and juniors are still in school. Meaning your guidance counselor is probably still in school.

So walk by the school sometime, bring an envelope, and have your teacher send it ASAP.

Don’t panic you still have a LOT of time to do this. At my school grades haven’t officially come out yet until mid-Late June. GL! Don’t fret.

You still have a lot of time to send them. I don’t even have my last final until June 15th with grades coming out like a week and a half after, so you’re not alone.

Don’t most schools do it automatically? Our school sent around a final sheet that asked where we were going. We needed to turn it in before we could get our graduation stuff (cap & gown and all that). Did you do something like this?

Well, common app/the college has your counselors email and they usually shoot one off a message to him/her for midyear and final transcripts, at least that’s what my counselor tells me. Cap and gown request is usually for the whole announcement deal, so they can say what your plans are after high school at graduation.

That’s how it works at my school, I don’t know, could be different at other places.

oh ****. thanks for reminding me :0

Forgot to check back, but yeah… Seniors got out on May 17th, the rest on the 20th, so no one is at school anymore. I checked our school website to see when they are open during the summer, and it couldn’t be any more useless.

We did fill out a “check-out” sheet before graduation, but I don’t think it asked for anything more than “University”. I guess I’ll be making a trip to the school to see if/when they are open.

–P.S. I knew Arizona schools get out earlier than others, but I forgot how early. Sorry for those still in school (And damn you when I’m in school mid-August)
