2013 tax return is completed but TurboTax won't allow us to file since the instructions for Form 8960 (Investment Income which we don't have) aren't yet finished by the govt. This is a new form this year and we only have to file it since we're over a certain income limit. apparently doesn't matter that the form will have nothing but zeros on it. TurboTax says other tax prep companies aren't filing yet either for same reason. Right now they're saying it'll be available Feb. 27th but that date is subject to change. Anyone else having this problem? FAFSA was filled out last month with 2012 info. Should I contact DS's schools and let them know about the delay?

That is weird.DD used Turbo Tax and filed her 1040 with no difficulty last week.

Since that form is for higher income earners, maybe it won’t matter all that much that your FAFSA is late. Are you expecting much need based aid?

You could always print your return and mail it…minus the form in question.

I would call TurboTax support.

Finally!! Was able to file via TurboTax this morning!
