I am planning on attaching a resume to the Additional Information section of the Common App, but I'm not quite sure what it should look like. Does anyone know what the expectation is as far as a supplementary resume goes? Should I leave everything off of it that I already talked about in the Activities section of the application, including only the things I didn't have room for, or not? Should I include brief descriptions of each activity? Do admissions officers prefer a certain format?

Any help would be much appreciated! I've got to get this done really soon...

Thanks!

Hey there, I’m a current freshman at Harvard and I attached a supplemental resume. I broke my activities down into broad categories (i.e Government and Politics, Conservation Activism, etc.) and outlined the evolution of my work in those fields.

List everything that you think will paint a good picture of your passion. Certainly explain your big time commitments and responsibilities. That 1 page should be a clear picture of you as a passionate individual. I highly recommend using a resume.

PM me if you’d like more info about Harvard admissions, etc. I’d be glad to help. Best of luck!

Thanks so much! That’s great advice.

Ace2209 would you mind PMing me your resume. I am editing the format of mine right now but I’m not sure if it is formated correctly. Seeing yours would be really helpful
