Formatting Common App personal essay

<p>like the title says. I plan on using a .PDF file type, as it's more reliable and widely compatible... I have some other questions too though:</p>

<p>-MLA format? (if so, it answers most of the questions below)</p>

<p>-Single or double spaced? 1.5?
-Should I include my name on the essay document itself? As a header?
-Any personal information?
-Should I title my essay?
-Date of writing? submission?
-Should I number my pages? in the header, or footer?
-What should I include in the document's filename?</p>

<li>Make it double spaced because it’s easier on the eyes to read!</li>
<li>You don’t have to write your name…infact I wouldn’t bother with it</li>
<li>No personal info either</li>
<li>Yea, a lot of people have a title for the essay</li>
<li>Date of writing isn’t necessary</li>
<li>You could number the pages if you want to, though it’s not mandatory</li>
</ul>
