<p>How are you formatting your essay? MLA? Just the essay? Your name at the top then essay? I am unsure of how they prefer the essays to be. </p>

<p>Colleges don’t really look at the formatting at all. What matters to them is the writing</p>
<p>I would recommend 12 or 11 point font of times new roman or any other common font. I think I did 1.5 spacing instead of double spaced so it would fit on a page. In the header, I put my name, DOB, and high school. As the above posters said, however, the readers are not judging you on the format, only the content. Just make sure it’s easily readable.</p>
