Found Out Yet???

The Denison website said that admissions decisions were sent out today. Does anyone know if we're able to view them online or is the online log-in only for parts of the application??? Or are they going to post admissions decisions online too????

I went to a writing program at Denison over the summer and visited this fall/did an overnight. Has anyone else??? I'm curious to know others thoughts...

I wasn't expecting a decision for D till April 1, so this is a surprise. No, she hasn't heard anything yet. I don't even know if she's ever tried to check anything online.

S checked online last night after reading Curly's post but there was nothing there. If letters were mailed yesterday, I don't expect to see anything here in FL before Monday. Nice surprise, though, to come so early. Thanks for the heads up!

My admissions counselor emailed me on Friday to let me know that decisions had been sent out. I didn't get anything today, so it looks like I'll be waiting till Monday.

Good Luck everybody!!! :)

Son received acceptance letter in mail today with a very nice surprise of Founders Award $15,000. Good luck to all!

Congratulations 2010mom!!! What other schools is he considering?

Thanks, he was very happy. Others he is considering Case Western, Miami University, Rose-Hulman and he interviewed for the BS/MD program through NEOUCOM; he should find out the status of that the last week of March. Then he will have to make the big decision. How about yours?

Son #1 is a sophomore at Denison. Son #2 is looking at engineering - his list includes Rose Hulman, RPI, WPI, Northeastern, Ohio University, RIT, Purdue, Pitt, and Case. Right now it is sort of down to RH, RPI, WPI, and Ohio.

How does Son #1 like Denison and whats his major? Looks like Son #2 has been busy. All great schools.

weenie, my father-in-law is an RPI grad and a HUGE supporter of the school to this day. He cannot say enough good things about the direction the school is taking these days. If your son chooses RPI, I think he will have made a choice you can be comfortable with!

Thanks Kelsmom!

2010mom - My son LOVES Denison. He is a double major in Economics and Poly Sci, and has a double minor is Music and Math (!). I have posted a ton of stuff on the Denison forum here (if you can't see a lot of listings, change the date setting at the bottom of the page). If you have any questions, let me know.

I got my acceptance letter today. Founders scholarship of $15,000. Don't konw if it will be enough money to attend but im hoping I can.

sjstxmom - Wow, congratulations! Wonderful news. And congrats to everyone else, too. D also got accepted with the $15,000.

Thanks Binx! And congratulations to your D and everyone! Denison is very generous with merit awards. D completely managed her search--I was absolutely stunned! Did not know which scholarships she had applied for. She is anxious about making a decision and waiting to hear news from several other schools. I would like to mark the box and send the deposit, but I guess the process is good. At least one, and maybe two, schools dropped off the list with this news. I will keep my fingers crossed that Denison wins her heart during overnight.

Congrats to all accepted students -- and parents! And good luck in making a best fit decision.

S#2 who is a junior looking at Denison heard from two senior friends that they were accepted also -- both are planning to attend from Maryland!
