Foundation Fellows

Do we need any extra recs for this?

According to the application on the website, you need to submit one each from your counselor, a teacher, and a peer. There are pages for each of these recs. in the application packet.

Sorry I meant do we need to submit the regular UGA admission recs as well... I assume not since that would be pretty redundant... >_<

Has anyone gotten confirmation that their Foundations Fellowship Application was received? Will we?

I got a confirmation e-mail that my online application was received. Just sent the recs in by mail yesterday so I don't expect to hear about them for a few days.

Thanks, D got receipt of receipt of Fellows App yesterday, also.

I got a confirmation by email that mine was received as soon as I sent it in online. A few days later, I got an email that said they had processed it. But again, I applied online. A word to the wise for those who are going to apply next year: DO NOT APPLY ONLINE. It is a pain in the butt because if you go over a certain number of character in any given section, they won't let you go on until you have changed the character count.

For 2008 applicants: Just wanted to confirm AudraLaudarque's post before I forget about it. I recommend "testing" their online form next year. D wrote the essays, pasted them in - they read as "over the character count" by a LOT - in spite of the fact they weren't. She would have had to rewritte the essays dramatically to make them fit. Ended up reverting to the paper application rather than rewrite the essays. Maybe they'll fix this, but I'd check before I went to far.

I agree with Webbie- I had to do the exact same thing with rewriting my essays to make them fit. They had well under the right word count, but I think that the application website counts by the number of characters with spaces.
