Four choices for colleges: USC UCLA UIUC UWisconsin-Madison

Well I'm helping my friends to make decisions, so I probably need your guys' help.

The four universities: USC UCLA UIUC & UWisconsin-Madison.

He now wants to major in chemistry, but engineering later if possible.

All are great schools, so he has a difficult time dealing with the choice.

He is an int'l which means no financial aid.

SO PLEASE HELP!

Thx a lot

At each school, look into whether is will be easy to switch into engineering if he starts out in chemistry. At Illinois, for example, chemistry is in the liberal arts and sciences college and the school of engineering is harder to gain admittance into as a freshman. I’m not sure how hard it would be to make a switch (minimum GPA, possibly?) but I would check at each of these schools so he would have an informed idea of what he would need to do in order to switch into engineering.

uw madison for chemistry
If it matters, UCLA and USC are more prestigious and well known though.

Only among children.

more advices please?
