Due to changes in scheduling that were made without student consent, my school will be downsizing from 7 to 6 periods a day. This might not seem like too much of a change, but AP classes take up 2 periods each. So for those planning on taking 2+ APs, classes would total 4 or less. Does anyone have any idea as to how this seemingly less than rigorous schedule would affect my chances at Williams ED? Any and all information would be helpful.

Your guidance counselor should explain this to colleges. Colleges want you to take the most rigorous courses available to you - they'll evaluate your courseload by what is do-able at your school.

bump, thanks for your response...anyone else??

I agree with jrpar.
I would't worry too much because most seniors don't have more than 4 AP classes in their schedule (not including self study) and any class periods over that are usually just electives. For example, my school has 6 periods, but because I take 4 AP's I have two free periods which I fill with 1 elective and the other I just leave school early. Basically, you're replacing the fluff with substance- what school would have a problem with that?
