I'm currently a sophomore at 'SC planning to do FOUR concentrations, yes FOUR. It'll take me 4 1/2 years (total), but i've decided about doing finance, MIS, International Business (IEP Program) and marketing.

Is it possible to do that many majors or do they have a maximum unit requirement?

I thought about doing the joint program with business and cinema and International Business, but I think four majors looks much better...

i think it may be possible, but i'd advise against it.
It looks like these are career-oriented majors though, and I'm sure you dont need four majors to land a job. its more about GPA and internships, etc.

but if you are doing it because you have a strongly have an interest and have the money and want to... sure why not? I actually dont know though (sorry)

Thanks for the advice though. Maybe I left out a few things...

GPA: 4.0/4.0

Money won't really be an issue because it's only one extra semester that i'll be staying. Yes, you don't need four majors to land a job, but it'll stand out an any resume and expand my job options.

Is it possible to go to USC for one more year and get the MBA rather than another semester and still have the BA? Why not go for the MBA?

Now while I'm sure you've thought more about this than what you've written here, it seems to me like you want these 4 concentrations (technically, they aren't majors...the only major is a BS in Business) because they'll look good on your resume. And don't ever do anything just for your resume, it's not a strong enough motivator.
Honestly, work experience can get you just as far. So spend a summer doing marketing, spend a semester abroad, take finance classes. You don't need to limit yourself to learning solely through academic classes. And when you go abroad you can take a lot of finance/marketing classes that can be comparable to USC
Also, it seems like you're interested in so many areas and want to keep as many options open. Def. something I can relate to. Have you taken BUAD 306, 307 etc to see if you'd actually like to complete a full concentration? And you don't have to just have concentration classes to display interest in a certain subject.

mdcissp: You probably won't get accepted into a good MBA program w/o work experience (or a killer GMAT score). And if you have a undergrade business degree, the MBA isn't worth much without significant work experience.

I don't know if USC has a 5 year program for the MBA or an MBA with a co-op/internship attached for work experience.

I believe there is one for accounting, but not for business.
