FPF Scheduling?

Hi everyone, I’m looking to apply to Haas, and am currently enrolled into FPF this fall.

I’m interested in History. Math isn’t very interesting to me. I’d prefer to limit the intensity of the reading/essays.

My math requirement for Haas should be waived through a college course I took (equivalent to Math 53). Also, I received a 4 on the AP Lang test, which takes care of R1A.

My planned schedule looks like this:

Legal Studies R1B (for second half of R&C): 4 units
Astronomy B10 (Physical Science): 4 units
ESPM 50AC (American Culture and Philosophy and Values): 4 units
Classics 10A (Art and Literature): 4 units

Is this a reasonable course load? Too easy/hard? Is it too much essays or reading?
Also, I’m considering replacing classics with another class, any ideas? My strategy so far is to take advantage of FPF to get better grades and support for my weaker subjects. Is this a good idea or no?

Thanks everyone in advance, I really appreciate it!

16 units in 4 courses seems like a typical full time course load.

Thanks, what about the difficulty of the classes? I can’t seem to find any information about Legal studies at FPF anywhere

Some departments offering R&C courses (e.g. English) have instructors list their reading lists and course descriptions on the departmental web sites. However, this is not the case for all departments, and may be even less likely for FPF courses.
