Franklin & Marshall v. Dickinson

This inquiry is for my son who doesn't have a clear/strong preference between these two very similar schools. Briefly, he excels in the sciences (esp. chemistry & physics), also math. Because he's multi-talented he doesn't yet want to "commit" to a science major, isn't yet 100%sure about a major and career, hence the liberal arts... Socially, he's somewhat laid-back, yet self-assured enough to not have to prove himself with risky behavior, dressing a certain way, etc. etc. Harvey Mudd was his first choice, and the only school (of 9) he didn't get into --also the only school that on paper at least looked like the "perfect" fit --he has the same sense of humor that's in their literature! So what do y'all think?Which school? (They both have offered him a (almost) full scholarship, so that's not an issue). Thanks for any feedback.

This is a tough decision, considering I think they are very similar schools…

I think F&M is a little more laid back and not quite as clickish. I also prefer Lancaster as a city.

My son favors Dickinson over F&M, but barely.

Being high-verbal, I think he likes Dickinson’s emphasis on foreign lang.
But, he also likes the “house” system at F&M.
OTOH, Dickinson’s dorms were gorgeous.
But, F&M wins the “athletic complex” category.
Dickinson has a world-class library.
Lancaster offers more than Carlisle.

It’s a tough choice. Please let us know how it ends up.
