Thank you so much!!!

No reason to freak out… you’re definitely competitive at all of them. Georgetown, Northwestern, and UC Berkley may be tough, but just keep your grades up and you’ll have a good shot. And don’t forget to take and do well on your SAT IIs for Gtown- good luck!

Thanks this has definitely put my mind at ease

I agree with soze, Georgetown is hard to predict. I went to their campus a couple of weeks ago and they do have high expectations, but I have meet people who got in with a lower GPA than you. Even some people who had higher and did not get in. Georgetown is an amazing campus, but it is very intimidating, I’m not sure how, but I did get a bad vibe from there. You will definitely get into NYU and a few others you had listed. And honestly, about the C, it all depends on how the colleges view it. If you got a C during your freshman year but your GPA has increased since then, then you should be fine. Actually, the majority of schools view that as a benefit, it demonstrates that you realized how important High School is (at least that is what a few colleges told my friend and she’s looking at difficult schools also). So it all depends on the university.

Also, about American University, that is a definite safety; they want people like you.

Thank you!! Yeah I visited Georgetown and thought it seemed really, really, really nice and I just hope I can get into at least one of those schools listed.

So I’ve never done this before, please forgive me bump?

Can you afford to be full pay at all these schools? Most of them do not meet need. Getting in is one part for most and affordability is equally important. Read all the current threads by those into NYU but can’t pay.

That is very true I should probably look into it

You’re definitely in at UMD with aid; most likely American, as well. All the rest you’re at least in at (I don’t know about aid), with the exceptions of UC Berkeley, Georgetown, and Northwestern. Those are your reaches.

Thank you!! :)

So when are you scheduled to take the SATII tests? Georgetown is the only school I know of that requires three, and I think you can only take two on a test date. That means that you will HAVE to take SATIIs on both the Oct and Nov. test dates.

Don’t drop the ball on this, or G’town is chance=0 no matter what your credentials are.
