Fraternities

I am hoping to rush next year and I have a few questions? At U of A which fraternities have the highest academic standing while having a house as well. Will joining a fraternity be a good experience for me, someone who didn’t do much drinking in high school? And is it possible to keep a relatively high GPA while in a fraternity? Like 3.6+?

Pike. What you put into Greek Life you will get out x10. No Frats have GPA that high, in college you will have a lower GPA than HS and more likely will have a GPA >3.2 if you do Greek Life. All Frats drink if you don’t socialise you will not get as much out of Greek Life. Life as a GDi @UA can be tough but its what you make it in college. It’s rare if you do Greek Life to have a GPA of 3.6+, rare, but it does happen, my DS @UA had a brother 2 years ago go to Harvard Med, so its possible.

Thank you for the info, yeah I am going to socialize I just didn’t do much in high school due to really strict parents.
