Frats are already out of control?

Jesus CHRIST, I ALREADY have dazed floormates wandering into their dormrooms at 2 AM blitzed from a night of alcohol and other sorts of excess. Not that I'm against it, I'm just wondering what everyone recommends as far as the frat scene goes around here.

it's welcome week! i don't think it is like this every week. tonight was the first night of rushing. it's been a lot of fun. i just got back to my room in unit 1 and i wouldn't agree it's "out of control."

Frat parties during the summer were great, but not crazy. Cops showed up at 3 everytime.

bahaha there was a stabbing at one of the frats

and the next night, the cops showed up at the same place

how terrible

I've noticed it too. I don't even live near them and I can hear all the screaming/yelling at night.

wow, I can do the fancy quoting now.

EDIT: This made my day :D

I went to a couple parties frat this week although I'm an upper div now heh, and one of them was really lame. There were a lot of Berkeley high students in the frat.....I mean freshmen are immature enough, but high school students? hehe

ew high school students. they probably came so they could say how cool they are.

I've already had a very bad experience with partying this week. No more for me. It's good to learn early.

I heard the frat stabbing involved a ketchup bottle

I am down to brawl against these frat boys with you strykur.

No one interferes with a CC friends late night postings

i came up to CAL last year for the USC game weekend and visited a couple of the frats then also. i've never been here for welcome week before and i have to say it does seem a little wilder than a game weekend. although i have not seen fights or stabbings, just drunks and people having good times. a friend of mine in unit 3 told me about a fight last night that involved some people visiting some CAL students that are from other UC's that haven't started school yet.

there was a stabbing? uuuh....seriously?

"wow, I can do the fancy quoting now."

how did you do it? do you have to be a senior member?!?!

oh..btw..berkeley sucks.

people aren't very friendly..i'm soooooooooooooo lonely. =(

where are you living tallkell? i have found unit 1 people very outgoing and friendly. i also have friends in unit 2 from alumni scholars and their have a kick ass floor. i love going there to visit. i haven't been to clarke kerr but i have a friend there and she says its a little cliquish.

People have been very friendly to me. But I'm also a bit reclusive, I must admit.

i'm living near clark kerr at a house on derby street. my roommates suck and i'm totally homesick.

^Why don't you hang out with the CC transfers and whatnot?

Most of them are pretty damn friendly but sadly I myself have not been able to meet them. :(
