FRAUD in sending scores?!!!

Take a big breath and stop overthinking. And stop hiding behind the “friend” who is only sending in one score. Yale takes the maximum score so why on earth does it matter if you take the SAT 2,3 or even 4 times? I suppose if someone takes it 10 times even after getting a 2300 the second time, Yale may take this as a sign of some emotional instability but really, only an extreme issue like that would “hurt” a candidate by providing, as requested, all scores. On the other hand, if a Yale admissions officer sees a one time October 2009 2350 score for a student that has taken APs since 9th grade they are going to suspect the student of using score choice. No test-savy student waits that late to take the SAT and only take it once! It occurred to me when I saw which schools said no score choice that they are trying to catch overthinking, neurotic students who would be willing to lie to improve their chances for admission. Could it be that Yale’s attitude toward score choice is precisely to introduce a litmus test for an ethical student? Overthink that! Instead of spending time worrying whether Yale can find out if you lied, go volunteer at a soup kitchen (but don’t report it as an EC!). It will be time well spent on getting a reality check…

You are being a little hypocritical, fine arts mom. You are the one who is “overthinking,” as you yourself claim.

I sent in all my scores. Why would I become such a disgusting, jealous monster (which I am surprised at myself for, cuz imma usually kinda chillax) if I was just “hiding”? Considering the schools only pick one student in my school in my region (which is quite competitive), I feel unfair that this is a disadvantage to me…

But as I said, I dun care anymore…I wud actually be honest and live in peace/

^fineartsmajormom, why assume that Selectum is actually the person spoken of? Obviously he/she wouldn’t be outraged enough to start a thread if he/she was the culprit. That is a bit erroneous.

Selectum…I was being sarcastic. You could spend months trying to figure out what the adcoms are thinking about or looking for…You could twist this situation into a million shapes and it shouldn’t change your application. just follow the directions, press submit and go and go…do something productive…
