I'm taking AP Calc next year! Can anyone tell me how they did in Precalc and how they thought Calculus was in comparison to this class? I'm kind of worried about it, but I thought Precalc was okay, but I'm still scared...

Hey don't worry about it... I'm sure it'll be fine. If you thought precalc was okay then you probably don't die in calc. I'm taking AP Calc next year as well and my friends tell me that as long as you do your homework and stay focused, you'll be fine, just like any other class.

It's not that hard.. don't sweat it.

Even if you're not exactly a math person--and have trouble grasping some of the concepts--you can still get by just by memorizing formulas. I suggest you make an effort to understand what's going on though (the application behind the ideas).

You'll be fine.

...And I thought it was a whole lot more fun than Precalc. Precalc is just Algebra II all over again, with some Trig thrown in. But you actually do cool stuff with trig in Calculus. It's a lot more abstract, with differentiation and inferentiation. The only thing Calc AB had to do with Precalc was the tiny section on Limits that you cover at the end of the latter and the beginning of the former. Then you never touch it again and it's totally different.

Don't sweat it. If you like math, Calculus is a godsend.

precalc = lame

you'll have fun in calculus. and this is coming from someone who hates math.
