Freaking out--college websites?

I keep hearing about how everyone checks their admissions on a college-specific website. How do you know where it is? I've submitted most of my applications and I haven't received word of any site for applicants from any school...should I be worried?

AH god I keep hearing about this, totally lost too! If you figure it out, let me know…

Sorry for an entirely unhelpful post, but at least we’re in the same boat hahaha

Nonono, it’s nice to know I’m not alone. :P

If everything was submitted then they’ll probably tell you where and when to find your admissions decisions - some colleges give admissions results via mail, others by a specific website. Just wait a bit and you’ll get the instructions you want.

Which schools did you apply to? How this works depends on the school. Most take a while before they send out log-in information or other information to access status-checking websites. All information relevant to viewing the admissions decision is generally sent out in the days preceding the release of decisions.

Please calm down. the colleges are processing your info now. They will inform you of their notification methods. This isn’t their first year in existence, you know.

Relax.

Be sure to check your email’s spam folder - sometimes emails received from schools end up there. If the school uses an online system to check the status, they may send notification via paper mail or via email, or both. I work at a university, and we send part of the notification through a paper mailed letter, and another part through an email, if an email address was submitted on their application.

My S applied to a school ED, and the only email he received was notifying him that one of the teacher recommendations was still outstanding. Then he received his decision via paper/mailbox.

Thanks for the answers, you guys…I guess it’s just a wait from here. :)
