Freaking out

alright guys i listened to everything you’ve said and i decided to change my major to business. I know its a bit late in the game being a sophomore but like i said before i don’t particularly have a huge interest in engineering or environmental engineering. Also, my grades are not reflecting all the time and effort i put into the classes so i figured that i wasn’t happy enough or willingly engaged as i should be.

Let us know how it turns out and remember to do your homework, go to office hours, organize study groups, and plane ahead - it’s as important for Business as for Engineering!

I think the other posters have given good feedback for your situation. For the future however, id recommend taking earlier preparation in anticipation of situations like this. Go to office hours frequently, no matter how well you think you get the material. Do the extra psets, and practice problems. Reach out to older students who’ve taken your course and ask for their advice for the most effective way to study. The more you work ahead, you’ll find the easier it will be to handle these tests.
