Free applications?

<p>I've gotten two offers from local private colleges. One sent me a code that waives the application fee, and another sent me an email saying if I visit the school, I could apply for free. These are smaller schools, and ones that I wasn't incredibly interested in. Is it worth the time and effort to apply just to make sure I have a backup plan if none of the schools I'm more interested in accept me?</p>
