free printing

is there any on campus?

Yes, but it depends on which classes you’re taking - some departments offer free printing to students taking a course in that department (life sciences springs to mind, IIRC)

Ls lab doesn’t offer free printing anymore… they started to charge this quarter.

Covel and DeNeve offer free printing if you live in the dorms. There’s also free printing in the public affairs building 2nd floor if you are enrolled in I think a social sciences course. The SAC also has free printing at the…I think it’s called the center for studies of women and men (10 pages free a day). It’s the first door to the right when you enter the SAC across from the wooden center.

if you’re a grad student, the Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) in SAC B11 offers free printing

Wowwww, no more free LS printing?? Budget cuts FTMFL. How much do they charge?

The Psych computer labs in Franz had 50 free pages of printing last year.

If you’re hsseas, seasnet is 2 cents per page, I believe.

But what’s the deal with free printing at deneve and covel? (@rosedust) The last time I checked, dorm residents have $5 of “free” printing on the hill credited to their account, and after that, they bill printing to your housing account. (weird…)

Oops - sorry, I should’ve added the amounts. I’m not really sure what happens after you use up the credit - I never went past that. They let you know how much you have left on the computer so I just looked at that whenever I wanted to print. Speaking of which, public affairs also has a limited amount of free printing as well. Can’t quite remember the amount I’m afraid.

you can do what I do. just wait around until someone leaves their computer without logging out and start printing all your crap while on their account.

where exactly can u print in covel common and de neve?

Umm…I don’t quite remember what floors they were on, but in Covel it’s in the computer labs - you can ask the people at the desk on the left. If I remember correctly it was either on the same floor as entry or one floor up on the opposite side.

As for DeNeve, you enter from the dining hall area and go up the stairs either one or two floors. There’s a desk in Deneve upstairs that you can ask directions from for the computer lab.
