Free response-- in pen?

I'm wondering if it's ok to use pencil for free response (specifically chem and calc). Yesterday in French we had to use pen, but today my chem teacher told me pencil was fine.

all written (like essay) exams require pen

pencil is fine for math and science (maybe not bio..but I know its ok for all exams that involve calculation)

OK, thanks!

On the back of the Free Response booklets...it specifies if you may use pencil or pen. However, the rule is:

Humanities: pen
Sciences/Math: pencil

Use pen, unless it's mathematical. Your proctor should specify this at some point, or you could probably ask your AP teacher. He or she should know.

That is the best rule to follow!

I used pen on the Calc Free Response. I would not recommend it to anyone else, especially if you have no idea what you're doing like I did haha.

i wonder too because weve been writing chemistry FR in pencil..esp the math sections...
