Freedom of Speech

I've been posting about Dick Cheney and how much I hate what he is doing right now, and I'd just like to say how amazing it is that in this country everyone has the freedom of speech.

In many other countries, I'd be arrested and beaten for comments detracting from major national leaders. In this country, I can disagree as much as I want.

I'm just starting to realize how grateful I am for living in a country like this.

Unfortunately, you can't say whatever you want these days. A kid in my school joked about a school shooting and he was charged with making a terroristic threat.

Err....You can't even say the word Bomb in an airport without being interrogated.

Say wha?

<a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSWBT00720120070625%5B/url%5D">http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSWBT00720120070625</a></p>

It could be worse, sure. But we're nowhere near what we should be.
