French Foreign Language requirement

So.. I did the French Placement Exam two days ago, and I scored 51 (not sure what that really means) and it says I got Placement : 3.

Does that mean I still have to take French 3 to finish the Foreign Language requirement? Or does that mean that I've satisfied it?

That means you didn’t pass out of the foreign language requirement. You can start at any French level, but have to pass level 3 with a C or better. You can also try a different foreign language placement exam and try to get to level 4 or transfer credits from a different school.

You actually have to pass the 3rd level with a C or better or pass (if you do the P/NP option).

To the OP: Because you were placed into level 3, you should take that class, and as long as you get a high enough grade (or a pass, as stated above), you’ll have fulfilled the foreign language requirement.
