French IV or Pre-AP French?

Hello all,

I'm currently a sophomore in French III and I already signed up for next year's classes. One of those classes is French IV, but I found out yesterday that my school also offers a Pre-AP French class. I'm wondering if it would be better for me to go directly on to the Pre-AP class as French is generally a really easy class for me. Would I be missing anything hugely important if I skipped French IV, or would it be more beneficial for me to simply take the Pre-AP French class in order to do better on the AP French V test that I will be taking in senior year?

Thanks in advance.

Well, doesn’t Pre-AP French have to be some form of French 4? If it’s like my school, you take French 4 or French 4 honors (basically pre-AP), and in that case, you should take Pre-AP French if you are good enough to get an A.
