Freshman 15

<p>I gained only 5lbs my freshman year... and then 5 my sophmore year.. and then my junior year I realized "Hey.. I've gained 10 lbs" and decided to cut back on my candy intake.. now it's my senior year & I've maintained my overall 10 lb gain.
If the DC food tasted better or I wasn't such a picky eater, I'm sure I would have put on more weight with that all-you-can-eat dining style</p>

<p>Actually haven't gained any weight yet. I don't think I will either. My summer job we joked how there might be the "Freshman 15" but we had the "Camp 22" but thankfully I didn't get that either.</p>

<p>why are people at stanford so buff ? don't they hagve to study all the time?</p>

<p>haven't gained any weight either...probably from all the walking...and a REALLY fast metabolism...but I actually would like to gain weight, any suggestions?</p>

<p>This is crazy, how has no one on this board gained any freshman weight--a lot of my friends here are starting to feel the pinch in the waistband. While my jeans aren't bursting at the seems just yet, I think I'm gaining. It may depend on the school, but I think it's a pretty common thing (or at least that's what I tell myself). It does depend on the quality of the school's food--the cafeteria stinks, but the off-campus food in NYC is unbeatable.</p>

<p>I ate a lot of food in the dining halls as a fresham and sophomore but only gained 5 lbs over that two year time period. When I transferred to another school I put on a ton of weight. Between May 2003 and September 2004 I went from 193 to 235 lbs (I'm a 6' tall). I am down to 215 now. If I started excercising again and got back into good shape I would be at 200 lbs. I am very out-of-shape when it comes to exercising since I haven't done any cardio-intense workouts in a long time but my athletic build makes people think I am in good shape.</p>

<p>I have suffered Freshman 15...but the other way around. I've LOST 15 pounds...how does that happen?</p>

<p>The beer is what does it to most people but it really varies. There were people I knew last year who gained 20 or more pounds, while one of my friends at another school lost 20.</p>

<p>i think people gain weight mostly cuz of late night pizzas, etc.</p>

<p>a combo of pizza and beer late at night...but that is what makes college life fun! some guys worked it off by playing football in the snow at 2 am...</p>
