Freshman applications set new records again

University of Michigan News Service | Freshman applications to U-M continue to set new records

"Prospective freshmen submitted 46,733 applications for admission for academic year 2013–2014, an increase of 10 percent over the previous year's record of 42,480."

"Approximately 6,000 first-year students are expected to enroll by fall term 2013."

I expect this sort of increase for a few more years. We should reach the 50,000 milestone next year and will likely be around 60,000 for Michigan’s bicentennial.
