kay got the answer to that.

I have a new question. What do I do if mostly all the courses in FC are filled?

You may want to check out what is available and what is not by logging on to
[Courses & Schedule](http://www.fc.umd.edu/fc/course_schedule)
This has all courses offered to FC students and tells you what is open or closed. You can probalby put yourself on a waitlist also.
If you have not, I would suggest getting in touch with Anne Baum, Freshman Coordinator and Advisor. Phone is 301-405-6551. e-mail is fc@umd.edu or abaum@umd.edu. She is really helpful and could probably answer all your questions.
It seems like a reaaly good way to get started in the fall and have all first semester credits available to you in the spring. The only concession is that classes are offered later in the day, and there is a limit to which classes you can take. Also , there is no housing, but that happens on other campuses, too.

Good luck!

If mostly all courses are filled (I do not think that would be the case - and if so, more spots may be open later in the summer or they may be able to squeeze you in; so make sure to get in touch with someone before giving up), worst comes to worst sign up for what there is. Meet the min. credit number for being a full time student, and opt to fulfill some other CORE requirements at a CC or something if you feel like that won’t be enough (though it’s nice to ease yourself in!). Maybe you would not even need to meet a min number of the classes if they were really that darn full, and you spoke with somebody in advance about supplementing at a CC.

But my logic tells me more sections will open up if there are more FC orientations. For honors, everything appears full until the next orientation date, at which point they add more seats to allow the students at that orientation sign up.
