Freshman D already scheduling for Fall 08!

Where did the year go????!!!

She can't believe it and neither can I. Those first days of her gone are so clearly remembered. Now, she's almost 1/4 done! Amazing!

One good thing. No tuition due till August! : )

Mine registered last night, she was the last group to do so. She got 1 of her 5 desired classes and is very unhappy today. She has already been to 2 departments and the Registar's office today to see what she should do as 2 of the classes are required and all sections were full.

Bummer! Is she at a larger school?

My D is always tense until she has her schedule locked up. She was excited to note that now that her AP classes have kicked in, she's technically a "sophomore" already so at least she can schedule before others who are still "freshmen"...

cmbmom that is tough. When S1 had that problem, we learned to ask about scheduling required classes and odds when considering schools for the others. Fortunately DD's department schedules all majors first before sessions are opened for others. But she is in a really restricted major.

abasket I know what you mean. DD is home for the summer at the end of the month. Don't know where this year has gone.

Yes, S received the stuff to register for classes this week; they also held the room pick lottery. He has a roommate lined up as well as a group of friends that would like to room together in the same dorm (or nearby). Hard to believe a year ago at this time he was trying to decide which college to attend!

My S met with his advisor today and is all set to register in the next week or so. The year has flown by, just like I knew it would. Housing lottery has already been held and S was able to get what he wanted with 3 other guys.
One year down, three (hopefully) to go....

Mine registered about a month ago. (she is in a State U in the honors program so gets priority enrollment which has been a real benefit).

Like you said - where has a year gone? Can't believe freshman year is so close to being over! 1/4 of the way through already (or 2/9 if she does Study abroad as she hopes to - can't quite fit all the requirements in in 4 years if she does - which is fine).
